Abstract:	อปสร เป็น ของวิเศษที่ผุดขึ้นมาจากเกษียรสาคร เมื่อครั้งกวนน้ำทิพย์ในนารายณ์อวตารปางที่ 2 อัปสรเป็นนางน้ำที่มีลักษณะเป็นทิพย์มีความงามและเสน่ห์บาดใจชายอย่างยิ่ง และเป็นสมบัติส่วนกลางของทวยเทพ อัปสรมีอยู่มากแต่ที่มีชื่อเด่น ๆ อยู่ในวรรณคดีสันสกฤต มี 10 ตน เรื่องราวของอัปสรในวรรณคดีเหล่านั้นเป็นที่ประทับใจอย่างยิ่งและความงามอันล้ำเลิศของนางอัปสรก็เป็นปัจจัยให้กวีผลิตผลงานศิลปะที่ทรงคุณค่ามาหลายยุคหลายสมัย
Other Abstract:	Apsaras, the wonders sprung up from the churning of the Milky Sea in order to make ambrosia in the Second Incarnation of Visnu, are the water nymphs whose beauty pierces the hearts of all men. In heaven, These water nymphs are ‘the ladies’ for all devas. Ten of the apsaras are well-known in Sanskrit literature. Their stories are impressive and entertaining. Their unsurpassed beauties have inspired great poets from times to times to create invaluable works of art.
