| Abstract: | จิตรกรรมที่ปรากฏในวรรณคดีไทย มักจะเป็นภาพวาดของตัวละครเอกในเรื่องซึ่งมีทั้งฝ่ายชายและฝ่ายหญิง แต่โดยทั่วไปจะเป็นภาพวาดของตัวละครเอกฝ่ายหญิงมากกว่าภาพวาดดังกล่าวนี้เน้นความงดงามที่ทำให้ผู้พบเห็นหลงใหลเป็นจุดสำคัญ และมีบทบาทสำคัญในการดำเนินเรื่อง ทำให้ตัวละครเอกฝ่ายชายและฝ่ายหญิงเกิดความรักกัน หรือทำให้ตัวละครรองอื่นๆ เกิดความรักและหลงใหลตัวละครเอกฝ่ายหญิง นอกจากนี้ภาพวาดในวรรณคดียังมีส่วนช่วยให้เรื่องนั้นๆ สนุกสนานทั้งการแสดงและการอ่าน |
| Other Abstract: | Character descriptions in Thai literature are generally portraits of the leading characters in literature, both male and female , although those of the female characters are more common. These portraits show the great beauty of the hero and heroine which captures all the beholders. The portrait plays a great role in the development of the story : it causes the hero and heroine to fell in love with each other ; or it makes the minor characters fall for the heroine. Besides, it helps make both the performing and the reading of the piece more entertaining. |
