dc.description.abstract	ระหว่างเดือนพฤษภาคม ค.ศ. 1936 ถึง เดือนมีนาคม ค.ศ. 1937 ได้มีความพยายามจัดตั้งสภาอินโดจีน (Indochinese Congress) ขึ้นในโคชินจีน (เวียดนามใต้) โดยคนเวียดนามกลุ่มต่าง ๆ เพื่อเป็นเครื่องมือต่อรองกับรัฐบาลอาณานิคมฝรั่งเศส ความเคลื่อนไหวดังกล่าวสะท้อนให้เห็นการต่อสู้ทางการเมืองระหว่างชาวเวียดนามที่นิยมฝรั่งเศสกับฝ่ายต่อต้านฝรั่งเศสที่นำโดยพรรคคอมมินิสต์อินโดจีน (ICP) ทั้งยังชี้ให้เห็นความไม่จริงใจของฝรั่งเศสในการแก้ไขปัญหาต่าง ๆ ในอาณานิคมอินโดจีน แม้ว่าการตั้งสภาอินโดจีนจะล้มเหลวและถูกฝรั่งเศสปราบปรามในที่สุด แต่ความพยายามดังกล่าวส่งผลให้พรรค ICP ขยายบทบาททางการเมืองในโคชินจีนได้สะดวกขึ้นในครึ่งหลังของทศวรรษ 1930	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	Between May, 1936 and March, 1937, various political factions in Cochin China attempted to form an Indochinese Congress. The Congress was to be a “people’s assembly” in which the Vietnamese could negotiate colonial reforms with the French authorities. Although it reflected the genuine colonial policy of the French for reform and liberalization of the Indochinese colony, such and attempt brought to the surface the competition among the different political factions. Even though the Congress movement was eventually suppresses by the French authorities, it provided the Indochinese Communist Party with easy access to the masses and helped the party to expand its political activities into the Mekong Delta of Cochin China in the latter half of the 1930’s.	en
