dc.description.abstract	เมื่อครั้งพระบาทสมเด็จพระจุลจอมเกล้าเจ้าอยู่หัวเสด็จเยือนอิตาลีในปี พ.ศ. 2440 และ 2450 พระองค์ทรงติดต่อกับศิลปินชาวฟลอเรนซ์หลายท่านด้วยพระราชประสงค์ต่าง ๆ กันที่เมืองฟลอเรนซ์ เอโดอาร์โด เจลลิ และมิเคเล กอร์ดิจานิ ได้เขียนภาพพระบรมสาทิสลักษณ์ถวาย ต่อมากาลิเลโอ คีนิ ซึ่งเป็นผู้นำกระแสศิลปะอาร์ทนูโวของอิตาลีท่านหนึ่ง ได้รับเชิญให้เข้ามาตกแต่งโดมทั้งเจ็ดของพระที่นั่งอนันตสมาคมในกรุงเทพฯ ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างราชสำนักไทยกับศิลปินชาวฟลอเรนซ์นี้ มีบทบาทสำคัญยิ่งในการพัฒนาภาพลักษณ์ใหม่ของสยามประเทศ โดยเฉพาะในมุมมองด้านสถาปัตยกรรมและศิลปกรรม	en
dc.description.abstractalternative	During the visits of King Chulalongkorn to Italy in 1897 and 1907, many Florentine artists were contacted by his Majesty for different purposes. Edoardo Gelli and Michele Gordogiani painted royal portraits in Florence. Galileo Chini, a leading exponent of Italian Art Nouveau, was invited later to decorate the seven domes at Anantasamakhom Throne Hall in Bangkok. This relation between Siamese court and Florentine artists played an important role in the renovation of Siam particularly in the architectural and artistic point of view.	en
