| Other Abstract: | Ramond Queneau, a 20th century French novelist wrote Le Chiendent while he was translating Descartes’ Discours de la Methode. The writing of this novel made him stop the translation project. However, the immortal statement of Descartes, “I think; therefore, I am.” is the basis of the characterisation of the major characters in the novel. |
