| Other Abstract: | This paper is an attempt to answer some questions in the field of literary criticism. It includes a discussion of how much the concept of the classic in the literary works and music of Thai literary critics is influenced by western schools of literary criticism, and also of the question of the universality of the western concept of the classic. The writer explores the extent to which the European concept of the classic is applicable to Thai literary works and the reasons why Thai literary works are not classified according to period in the same way as are western literary works. |
