Abstract:	บทความชิ้นนี้มุ่งเน้นที่จะสร้างความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับ “มาเฟีย” โดยหันไปพิจารณาบุคคลกลุ่มนี้ ณ แหล่งที่ถือกำเนิด คือประเทศอิตาลี และโดยเฉพาะที่เกาะซิซิลี ทั้งนี้ โดยผ่านการพิจารณาตั้งแต่จุดกำเนิด ประวัติความเป็นมา อดีตมาเฟียคนสำคัญ อุดมการณ์ การจัดองค์กร พฤติกรรม รวมถึงความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่สำคัญซึ่งยังผลให้เกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางด้านอุดมการณ์และภาพลักษณ์ จะสามารถสร้างองค์ความรู้และความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับบุคคลกลุ่มนี้ได้ชัดเจนมากยิ่งขึ้น
Other Abstract:	This paper aims at an analysis of the ‘Mafia’ at its birthplace in Sicily, Italy. In addition to an investigation of its origins, history, ideology, organization, and social behavior and the life history of certain Mafia bosses in the past, are discussions of major changes within this ‘social group’ which consequently transformed its ideology and image.
