| Abstract: | วิทยานิพนธ์ฉบับนี้มุ่งแสดงให้เห็นความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกวีนิพนธ์กับตัวตนของกวี โดยผู้วิจัยศึกษาวิเคราะห์กวีนิพนธ์ของ เทือก บรรทัด ซึ่งมีจำนวนทั้งสิ้น 243 บท พร้อมทั้งศึกษาชีวประวัติของกวี ผลการวิจัยพบว่า กวีนิพนธ์ของเทือก บรรทัดสะท้อนตัวตนของกวีในสามมิติ อันได้แก่ ความเป็นนักอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ นักต่อสู้เพื่อสังคม และผู้ศรัทธาในพุทธธรรมตามแนวพุทธทาสภิกขุ ในส่วนกวีนิพนธ์ที่สะท้อนตัวตนของเทือก บรรทัดในฐานะนักอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ กวีมุ่งแสดงความคิดเกี่ยวกับธรรมชาติในสองแง่ คือ แง่งามและความเสื่อม ธรรมชาติในแง่งามส่งผลต่อจิตสำนึกในการอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ กล่าวคือ ทำให้ตระหนักในคุณค่า ส่วนความเสื่อมของธรรมชาติจะกระตุ้นให้มนุษย์รักษาแง่งามของธรรมชาติให้คงอยู่ บทกวีของเทือก บรรทัดสะท้อนให้เห็นว่า กวีมีความเข้าใจที่ลึกซึ้งต่อการอนุรักษ์ธรรมชาติ ด้วยเหตุว่ากวีมิได้เรียกร้องให้อนุรักษ์เพียงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ หากยังได้เรียกร้องให้มนุษย์รักษาวิถีการดำเนินชีวิตที่สอดคล้องและเอื้อต่อการดำรงอยู่ของธรรมชาติด้วย ในอีกมิติหนึ่ง บทกวีของเทือก บรรทัดสะท้อนให้เห็นตัวตนของกวีในฐานะนักต่อสู้เพื่อสังคม การต่อสู้เพื่อสังคมผ่านบทกวีมิได้เป็นไปเพื่อการเอาชนะอำนาจอื่นใดในสังคม หากเป็นการต่อสู้กับความชั่วร้าย และเพื่อมุ่งเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคมไปสู่ความดีงาม เทือก บรรทัดใช้บทกวีเป็นเครื่องมือในการต่อสู้เพื่อสังคม ทั้งในลักษณะของการตีพิมพ์บทกวีเผยแพร่และการอ่านบทกวีเพื่อปลุกจิตสำนึกของผู้คนในกิจกรรมต่างๆ โดยบทกวีของเทือก บรรทัดที่เกี่ยวกับการต่อสู้เพื่อสังคมแสดงออกในสองลักษณะ คือ การวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ปัญหาสังคมพร้อมเสนอแนวทางแก้ไข และการปลูกฝังความดีงามแก่สังคมด้วยจิตสำนึกแห่งความเป็นครู นอกจากนี้ บทกวีของเทือก บรรทัดยังสะท้อนให้เห็นตัวตนของกวีในฐานะผู้ศรัทธาในพุทธธรรมตามแนวพุทธทาสภิกขุ ผลการศึกษา พบว่ากวีนอกจากจะมีความศรัทธาพุทธทาสภิกขุแล้ว แนวคิดด้านพุทธธรรมตามแนวพุทธทาสภิกขุยังปรากฏให้เห็นอย่างชัดเจนในบทกวี โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งแนวคิดเรื่อง จิตว่าง ซึ่งเป็นรากฐานสำคัญของพุทธธรรมตามแนวพุทธทาสภิกขุ ที่มุ่งให้มนุษย์ค้นพบสัจธรรมด้วยการเพ่งพินิจสารจากธรรมชาติ โดยกวีนำเสนอแนวคิดเรื่องการเข้าถึงจิตว่างด้วยวิธีการต่างๆ อันได้แก่ การนำเสนอพุทธธรรมเรื่องอัตตา, ตัวกู - ของกู, อุปาทาน, อิทัปปัจจยตา, เหตุ-ปัจจัย, และและการเข้าถึงจิตว่างด้วยการเจริญสติ เทือก บรรทัดมีวิธีการเฉพาะตัวในการนำเสนอสาร แม้เนื้อหาของบทกวีหลายบทเกิดขึ้นจากบริบทเฉพาะถิ่น หากในที่สุดเนื้อหาเฉพาะถิ่นและภาษาถิ่นก็เป็นเพียงรูปแบบที่จะนำไปสู่แนวคิดที่กวีต้องการสื่อ บทกวีของเทือก บรรทัดในทุกมิติสะท้อนให้เห็นตัวตนของกวีในฐานะครู ที่ไม่เพียงเป็นครูในระบบการศึกษาเท่านั้น หากบทกวีของเทือก บรรทัดยังมีลักษณะของวรรณกรรมคำสอน ที่มุ่งปลูกฝังความดีงามแก่สังคม |
| Other Abstract: | This thesis is an attempt to study the relationship between Thueak Banthat's life and his poetry. The study, which includes the research on Thueak Banthat's biography and the analysis of his 242 poems, reveals three major aspects of the poet's character; namely, being an environmentalist, a social activist, and a faithful believer in Dhamma especially from Buddhadasa Bhikkhu's teachings. As an environmentalist, the poet conveys two different conditions of Nature in his poems. One is the beautiful and beneficial sides of Nature. The other is the declining sides of Nature due to human. Both aspects of Nature are designed to raise people's awareness of Nature's value as well as of the urgent need to conserve it. As his poetry displays, Thueak Banthat is a true environmentalist for he not only urges people to conserve natural resources, but he also encourages them to preserve the local ways of life which are related to the existence of natural resources. As a social activist, Thueak Banthat encourages people to fight against the wickedness and to fight for bringing love back to human's mind. The analysis of his poems shows that Thueak Banthat highlights the current social issues in order to make people aware of the seriousness of the problems. At the same time, by being a teacher-poet, Thueak Banthat suggests the ways to resolve these problems as well as the ways to instill a sense of goodness into human's mind. As a believer in Dhamma especially from Buddhadasa Bhikkhu's teachings, Thueak Banthat artistically reveals his faith and his profound understanding of Dhamma in many of his poems. Although his focus is on the notion of "Empty Mind", other related Buddhist teachings are also included in his poetry. Despite containing local contexts and sometimes southern dialects, Thueak Banthat's poetry provides profound and universal ideas that inspire readers from all walks of life. His poetry not only represents him as an environmentalist, a social activist, and a believer in Dhamma. But above all, it also reveals his true character of "a teacher" who has profound love and care for human and the world |
