| Abstract: | วิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมาย เพื่อศึกษาแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนาที่ปรากฏในเรื่องกามนิต และกลวิธีการนำเสนอแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนา จากการศึกษาพบว่า มีแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนาที่ปรากฏเด่นชัดอยู่ ๖ แนวคิด คือ แนวคิดเรื่องความเป็นอนิจจังของชีวิต แนวคิดเรื่องสังสารวัฏ แนวคิดเรื่องความเชื่อว่าทำดีได้ดี ทำชั่วได้ชั่ว แนวคิดเรื่องปฏิจจสมุปบาท แนวคิดเรื่องอริยสัจ และแนวคิดเรื่องนิพพาน โดยมีแนวคิดหลักว่า ความรักนำไปสู่นิพพานได้ แนวคิดหลักนี้ได้ช่วยเรียงร้อยแนวคิดย่อยอันเป็นแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนาให้ปรากฏสอดแทรกอยู่ในเรื่องกามนิตได้อย่างกลมกลืน และในขณะเดียวกัน แนวคิดย่อยก็ได้ช่วยรับรองสนับสนุนให้แนวคิดหลักมีความสมจริง น่าเชื่อถือ เป็นเสมือนแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนา ทางด้านกลวิธีการนำเสนอนั้น ผู้แต่งนำเสนอใน ๒ ลักษณะ คือ ใช้กลวิธีการนำเสนอแนวคิดตามขนบของวรรณคดีพุทธศาสนา และกลวิธีการนำเสนอแนวคิดตามขนบของนวนิยาย กลวิธีการนำเสนอแนวคิดตามขนบของวรรณคดีพุทธศาสนา คือ ผู้แต่งได้นำเสนอแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนาตามรูปแบบที่ปรากฏในพระไตรปิฎก โดยการเปิดเรื่อง ปิดเรื่องในลักษณะที่เป็นพระสูตร นำเอาพุทธประวัติตอนปลายมาเป็นโครงเรื่อง นำเอาข้อความจากพระไตรปิฎกมาประกอบเนื้อเรื่อง นำเอาบุคคลประวัติศาสตร์ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับพุทธศาสนามาเป็นตัวละคร นำเอามิติเวลาทางพุทธศาสนามาเป็นเวลาในเรื่อง รวมทั้งได้มีการใช้ภาษาความเปรียบ การยกอุทาหรณ์ การกล่าวซ้ำและการกล่าวเน้น และได้มีการนำเอาแนวคิดของศาสนาอื่นมาเปรียบเทียบกับแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนาด้วย สำหรับกลวิธีการนำเสนอแนวคิดตามขนบของนวนิยายนั้น คือ ผู้แต่งได้นำเสนอแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนาตามรูปแบบของนวนิยายสมัยใหม่ โดยนำเสนอผ่านโครงเรื่อง ตัวละคร ฉาก บทสนทนา รวมทั้งการดำเนินเรื่อง การเล่าเรื่อง ที่เอื้อผลต่อกันและกัน นอกจากนี้ก็ยังมีการแบ่งภาคและการแบ่งบท ที่ช่วยเชื่อมโยงให้เห็นแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนาอย่างชัดเจนด้วย กลวิธีการนำเสนอทั้ง ๒ แบบนี้ ต่างก็คาบเกี่ยวและอิงอาศัยซึ่งกันและกัน นั่นคือ แบบแรกผู้แต่งนำเนื้อหามาจากวรรณคดีพุทธศาสนา ช่วยเน้นเรื่องราวที่เกี่ยวกับพุทธศาสนาอย่างชัดเจน ทำให้แนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนามีความถูกต้อง น่าเชื่อถือ แบบหลังผู้แต่งได้สร้างองค์ประกอบต่างๆ ขึ้นมาใหม่ตามลักษณะของนวนิยาย โดยยังคงอิงอยู่กับเนื้อหาทางพุทธศาสนา และได้ปรับแต่งเพิ่มเติมเสริมจินตนาการ ช่วยให้เรื่องกามนิตมีความตื่นเต้น เพลิดเพลินสนุกสนาน เรื่องกามนิตเป็นวรรณคดีพุทธศาสนาสมัยใหม่ เพราะเนื้อเรื่องที่ซาบซึ่งตรึงใจ ภาษาที่ไพเราะสละสลวย และกลวิธีการนำเสนอแนวคิดทางพุทธศาสนาที่มีความโดดเด่นในรูปแบบของนวนิยาย |
| Other Abstract: | The objective of this thesis is to study Buddhist concepts and literary techniques in Kamanita. The study reveals that there are six Buddhist concepts in this novel: the concept of impermanence of life, of the wheel of existence, of the good-doer receives the good fortune, the bad-doer receives the bad fortune, of the Dependent Origination, of the Noble Truth, and of Nirvana. The main theme of Kamanita is 'Love can lead to Nirvana'. This theme can link harmoniously the Buddhist concepts in Kamanita and at the same time these Buddhist concepts can make the main theme more realistic and believable. The author uses two literary conventions in presenting the concepts of Buddhism: the convention of Buddhist literature and the convention of a novel. The author presents Buddhist concepts by following the form in the Tripitaka: opening and ending the story in the convention of a Sutra, employing the last period of the life-story of the Buddha in writing the novel, quoting from the Tripitaka to support the story, using of real people in the time of Buddha as characters in the novel, taking the dimension of time in Buddhism as the time in the story. Moreover, there are the use of parables and demonstrative tales, repeating and emphasizing and comparing other religion with Buddhism as well. The author presents Buddhist concepts by following the convention of a novel through plot, characters, setting, dialogue, the story development and the narration. Moreover, the dividing into two parts and chapters can display the Buddhist concepts clearly. These two conventions of representation are related. The author takes the substance from Buddhist literature - emphasizing the story of Buddhism and making Buddhist concepts precise and believable. Moreover, the author creates a new dimension of the novel by relating it to the substance of Buddhism, and using imagination to make the story more exciting and enjoyable. Kamanita is a modern Buddhist literature thanks to the exquisite story, beautiful language, and the outstanding technique of presenting Buddhist concepts in the form of a novel. |
