| Abstract: | การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาและเปรียบเทียบการกำจัดคราบจุลินทรีย์ระหว่าง แปรงสีฟันมาตรฐานกับแปรงสีฟันทางทันตกรรมจัดฟัน และเปรียบเทียบประสิทธิภาพในการกำจัดคราบจุลินทรีย์ของวิธีการแปรงฟัน วิธีโรล, วิธีมอดิฟายด์ แบส, และวิธีฮอริซอนดัล สครับ กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นผู้ป่วยในภาควิชาทันตกรรมจัดฟัน คณะทันตแพทยศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จำนวน 200 คน จัดแบ่งเป็น 8 กลุ่ม กลุ่มละ 25 คน ซึ่งกำลังได้รับการบำบัดรักษาทางทันตกรรมจัดฟันด้วยเครื่องมือชนิดติดแน่นแบบ Edgewise ทั้งขากรรไกรบนและขากรรไกรล่าง แปรงสีฟันที่ใช้ศึกษาคือ แปรงสีฟันมาตรฐาน (Oral-B, เบอร์ 35) และแปรงสีฟันทาง ทันตกรรมจัดฟัน (Ortho, เบอร์ 15) วิธีการแปรงฟันที่ศึกษาได้แก่ วิธีโรล, วิธีมอดิฟายด์ แบส, และวิธีฮอริซอนดัล สครับ โดยกำหนดให้แต่ละกลุ่มตัวอย่างใช้แปรงสีฟันและวิธีการแปรงฟันแบบต่างๆ ทำการตรวจบันทึกค่าดัชนีคราบจุลินทรีย์ก่อนและหลังการทดลองของแต่ละส่วนทางด้านริมฝีปากของฟันหน้า และด้านกระพุ้งแก้มของฟันกรามน้อย ซึ่งแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ส่วน หนึ่งในสามส่วนใกล้เหงือก, หนึ่งในสามส่วนส่วนกลาง, หนึ่งในสามส่วนด้านบดเคี้ยว ตามวิธีของ Silness และ Loe สรุปผลการวิจัย 1.ไม่มีความแตกต่างในการกำจัดคราบจุลินทรีย์ระหว่างแปรงสีฟันมาตรฐานกับแปรงสีฟันทางทันตกรรมจัดฟัน ไม่ว่าจะแปรงด้วยวิธีของตนเอง, วิธีโรล, วิธีมอดิฟายด์ แบส, และวิธีฮอริซอนดัล สครับ 2. ประสิทธิภาพในการกำจัดคราบจุลินทรีย์ในผู้ป่วยที่จัดฟันด้วย เครื่องมีอชนิดติดแน่น ขึ้นอยู่ กับวิธีการแปรงฟัน ซึ่งวิธีที่ให้ประสิทธิภาพดีที่สุดได้แก่ วิธีมอดิฟายด์ แบส รองลงมาได้แก่ วิธีฮอรีซอนดัล สครับ ส่วนวิธีโรล ให้ประสิทธิภาพในการกำจัดคราบจุลินทรีย์ต่ำที่สุด 3. การแปรงฟันด้วยวิธีของตนเองหรือไม่สอนวิธีการแปรงฟัน แตกต่างกับการสอนแปรงฟัน ด้วยวิธีโรล และวิธีมอดิฟายด์ แบส 4. ชนิดของแปรงสีฟัน ไม่มีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับวิธีการแปรงฟัน 5. ประสิทธิภาพในการกำจัดคราบจุลินทรีย์ในแต่ละส่วนของฟันเมื่อเปรียบ เทียบก่อนและหลัง การทดลอง 5.1 ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันในกลุ่มที่ใช้แปรงสีฟันมาตรฐานและแปรงสีฟันทางทันตกรรมจัดฟัน 5.2 ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันในกลุ่มที่แปรงฟันด้วยวิธีโรล 5.3 มีความแตกต่างกันในบริเวณหนึ่งในสามส่วนใกล้เหงือก และหนึ่งในสามส่วนส่วนกลาง ก่อนและหลังการทดลองของกลุ่มที่แปรงฟันด้วยวิธีมอดิฟายด์ แบส และวิธีฮอริซอนดัล สครับ 5.4 ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันในบริเวณหนึ่งในสามส่วนด้านบดเคี้ยวของทุกกลุ่ม |
| Other Abstract: | The purpose of this research were to study and compare the effectiveness of a standard toothbrush with an orthodontic toothbrush, and to study and compare the effectiveness of 3 types of tooth brushing: the roll, the modified Bass, and the Horizontal Scrub methods. Samples of the research were the patients from the Orthodontic Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University. They consisted of 200 patients and were divided into 8 groups, 25 each. Every patient was treating with fixed orthodontic appliance in both upper and lower jaws. Toothbrushes which used in this research were the standard (Oral-B, no.35) and the orthodontic toothbrush (Ortho, no.15). Tooth brushing methods which used in this research were: the roll, the modified Bass, and the Horizontal Scrub methods. Anterior teeth and the buccal surfaces of the premolars were divided into 3 areas: gingival 1/3, middle 1/3, and incisal 1/3. Each area was recorded the plaque index according to the Silness and Loe plaque index before and after the experiment. Research result 1. There was no significant different between the standard and the orthodontic toothbrush nevertheless the toothbrushing method were the roll, the modified Bass, or the Horizontal Scrub. 2. The effectiveness of removing dental plaque in fixed orthodontic patients was depend on the method of toothbrushing. The modified Bass method was the most effectiveness, then the Horizontal Scrub, and the roll method was the lowest effectiveness. 3. There was a significant different between the type of toothbrushing that the patients did themself and the roll and the modified Bass methods. 4. There was no interactions between the type of toothbrush and the method of toothbrushing. 5. The effectiveness of removing dental plaque in each area of the tooth. 5.1 There was no significant different between before and after the experiment in the groups that used the standard. 5.2 There was no significant different between before and after the experiment in the groups that brushed with the roll method. 5.3 There was a significant different between before and after the experiment in the gingival 1/3 and the middle 1/3 areas of the groups that brushed with the modified Bass, and the Horizontal Scrub methods. 5.4 There was no significant different between before and after the experiment in the incisal 1/3 areas of every groups. |
