dc.description.abstract	การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีจุดประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจและวิเคราะห์หนังสือท่องเที่ยวเมืองไทยที่จัดพิมพ์ในช่วง พ.ศ. 2521-2530 ในด้านผู้จัดพิมพ์ ผู้เขียน เนื้อหา วิธีการเขียน ภาพประกอบและลักษณะรูปเล่ม ผลการศึกษาพบว่า หนังสือท่องเที่ยวเมืองไทยจำนวนสูงสุดจัดพิมพ์ในปี พ.ศ. 2528 โดยหน่วยราชการ และเป็นหนังสือประเภทที่ให้รายละเอียดเกี่ยวกับประเทศ จังหวัด สถานที่มากที่สุด ในด้านผู้เขียนหนังสือท่องเที่ยวเมืองไทยส่วนใหญ่ระบุชื่อผู้เขียนเป็นหน่วยงาน สำหรับผู้เขียนที่เป็นบุคคล ส่วนมากไม่ระบุประวัติ คุณวุฒิ ประสบการณ์หรือผลงานที่ผ่านมา หนังสือท่องเที่ยวเมืองไทยส่วนใหญ่กล่าวถึงจังหวัดเดียว เมื่อวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาในด้านต่าง ๆ รวม 5 ด้าน ปรากฏว่า ในด้านภูมิศาสตร์และสถานทั่วไป หนังสือท่องเที่ยวเมืองไทยจำนวนสูงสุดนำเสนอเรื่องที่ตั้ง ด้านประวัติศาสตร์ นำเสนอเรื่องประวัติเมือง ด้านวัฒนธรรม นำเสนอประเพณีและงานเทศกาล ด้านสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว นำเสนอโบราณวัตถุสถาน สถานที่สำคัญทางประวัติศาสตร์ ศาสนา ด้านข้อเสนอแนะสำหรับนักท่องเที่ยว นำเสนอที่พัก ร้านอาหาร และบริการต่าง ๆ และส่วนใหญ่ไม่ระบุแหล่งค้นคว้าอ้างอิงในการเขียน หนังสือท่องเที่ยวเมืองไทยส่วนใหญ่ใช้วิธีเขียนเชิงอธิบาย มีภาพประกอบและแผนที่ แต่ไม่มีแผนผัง โดยภาพประกอบเป็นภาพสีและขาว-ดำ จัดพิมพ์ด้วยกระดาษอาร์ต ในด้านลักษณะรูปเล่ม ส่วนใหญ่เป็นหนังสือปกอ่อน ขนาด 8 หน้ายก จัดพิมพ์ด้วยกระดาษปอนด์โดยระบบออฟเซ็ท เมื่อวิเคราะห์หนังสือท่องเที่ยวเมืองไทย โดยจำแนกตามผู้จัดพิมพ์ คือ สำนักพิมพ์เอกชน หน่วยราชการ รัฐวิสาหกิจ ไม่ปรากฏผู้จัดพิมพ์ และประเภท คือ คู่มือนำเที่ยว หนังสือที่ให้รายละเอียดเกี่ยวกับประเทศ จังหวัดสถานที่ หนังสือเป็นเรื่องเล่าหรือถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์ตลอดจนการสังเกตของผู้เขียน พบว่า หนังสือที่จัดพิมพ์โดยผู้จัดพิมพ์ต่างกันรวมทั้งต่างประเภทกัน มีความแตกต่างทั้งในด้านผู้เขียนเนื้อหา วิธีการเขียน ภาพประกอบ และลักษณะรูปเล่ม
dc.description.abstractalternative	The objective of this study is to investigate and analyze the travel books on Thailand published between 1978-1987 in terms of publishers, authors, contents, writing styles, illustrations, and formats. It was found that most of the travel books on Thailand were published in 1985 by government departments and were mostly the type of “description of countries, provinces and places.” Authors’ names were mentioned in most travel books in the form of corporate bodies. The information about authors, gualifications, experiences and works of personal authorship was not given in most travel books. Most of the travel books dealt with one province. When the contents, divided into 5 categories, were analyzed, it was found that the sub-category of Geography and general condition mentioned in most travel books was location, of History was town history, of Culture was custom and festival, of Tourist attraction was ancient monuments and important historical or religious places, of Tourist guiding was accommodations, restaurants and services for tourists. With regard to reference sources, most travel books had no bibliographies or references. The descriptive writing style was used in most travel books concerning illustrations, most of the travel books had illustrations and maps but no location plans and the illustrations were coloured mixed with black and white ones, printed with art paper. As for formats the travel books were mostly paperback ones with the size of about 19x26 and 15.2x21.6 centimetres, printed with bond paper by offset process. When the travel books on Thailand were analyzed by publishers, namely private publishing houses, government departments, government enterprises and unidentified publishers and by types namely “guidebooks”, “description of countries, provinces and places,” and “narrative or descriptive rendering of personal observation”, the result was that the travel books with different publishers or types were different in authors, contents, writing styles, illustrations and formats.
