| Abstract: | งานวิจัยนี้ศึกษาวรรณยุกต์ภาษาไทยถิ่นกาญจนบุรีที่พูดที่ อ.พนมทวน อ.ท่าม่วง อ.ด่านมะขามเตี้ย และ อ.ห้วยกระเจา เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบระบบวรรณยุกต์และสัทลักษณะของหน่วยเสียงวรรณยุกต์ของทั้ง 4 อำเภอ งานวิจัยนี้เก็บข้อมูลจากผู้บอกภาษาอำเภอละ 3 คน รวมทั้งสิ้น 12 คน ซึ่งคัดเลือกมาตามคุณสมบัติที่กำหนดไว้ จากนั้นนำมาคัดเลือกตัวแทนอำเภอละ 1 คน ข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการวิจัยประกอบด้วยคำ 2 ประเภท คือ 1) คำจากรายการคำชุดเทียบเสียงวรรณยุกต์ จำนวน 10 คำ ได้แก่ กา คา ข่า ข้า ค้า ขา ขาด คาด ขัด คัด ซึ่งผู้บอกภาษาออกเสียงคำดังกล่าวคำละ 10 ครั้ง และ 2) คำ 1 และ 2 พยางค์ จากคำพูดต่อเนื่อง คำพูดต่อเนื่องที่ใช้ในงานวิจัยนี้ได้จากการสนทนาระหว่างผู้บอกภาษากับผู้วิจัย การคัดเลือกคำจากคำพูดต่อเนื่องทำตามเกณฑ์ที่ผู้วิจัยได้กำหนดไว้ล่วงหน้า การวิเคราะห์ใช้โปรแกรมวิเคราะห์คลื่นเสียง WinCECIL ในการวิเคราะห์ความถี่มูลฐานของวรรณยุกต์และใช้โปรแกรม Excel Version 5 ในการแปลงผลเป็นกราฟเส้น ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ระบบวรรณยุกต์ของภาษาไทยถิ่นกาญจนบุรีที่พูดกันที่ อ.พนมทวน อ.ท่าม่วง อ.ด่านมะขามเตี้ย และ อ.ห้วยกระเจา มีระบบวรรณยุกต์ 5 หน่วยเสียงเช่นเดียวกับภาษาไทยมาตรฐาน แต่ลักษณะการแยกเสียงรวมเสียงในกล่องวรรณยุกต์แตกต่างจากทั้งภาษาไทยมาตรฐานและภาษาไทยถิ่นกลางสำเนียงอื่นๆ และพบว่าภาษาไทยถิ่นกาญจนบุรีที่พูดใน 4 อำเภอดังกล่าวมีสัทลักษณะของหน่วยเสียงวรรณยุกต์แตกต่างจากกัน ทำให้สามารถแยกภาษาถิ่นย่อยของภาษาไทยถิ่นกาญจนบุรีได้ นอกจากนี้พบว่าหน่วยเสียงวรรณยุกต์ทุกหน่วยเสียงมีการแปรของสัทลักษณะทั้งในแง่ของการขึ้น-ตกและระดับเสียงเมื่อปรากฏในปริบทต่างๆ โดยสัทลักษณะของหน่วยเสียวรรณยุกต์ในคำชุดเทียบเสียงมีระดับเสียงและลักษณะการขึ้น-ตกของเสียงชัดเจนมากที่สุด และความชัดเจนจะลดน้อยลงเมื่อปรากฏในคำพูดต่อเนื่อง โดยที่หน่วยเสียงวรรณยุกต์ที่ปรากฏในพยางค์ที่ลงเสียงหนักจะมีสัทลักษณะแตกต่างกันมากกว่าในพยางค์ที่ไม่ลงเสียงหนัก |
| Other Abstract: | This thesis deals with tones in Kanchanaburi Thai spoken at Amphoe Phanom Tuan, Amphoe Tha Muang, Amphoe Dan Makhan Tia and Amphoe Huai Krajao. The aim is to compare both the tonal systems and the phonetic characteristics of the varieties spoken in these four amphoes. Twelve informants selected according to a set of criteria were interviewed, three from each amphoe. One informant was then selected to represent each amphoe. The data contain two types of words. 1) words from a tone-set wordlist consisting of 10 items: /kaaA2, khaaA4, khaaB1, khaaC1, khaaC4, khaaA1, khaatDL1, khaatDL4, khatDS1, khatDS4/. Ten tokens were elicited for each word; 2) monosyllabic and disyllabic words from connected speech. The connected speech used in this thesis was recoded during conversation between the informants and the researcher. World selection was based on a set of criteria. Fundamental frequency value of each syllable was analyzed using the program WinCECIL and the results were processed using Excel Version 5. The studyshows that the varieties of Kanchanaburi Thai spoken at Amphoe Phanom Tuan, Amphoe Tha Muang, Amphoe Dan Makham Tia and Amphoe Huai Krajao have the same tone system consisting of five tones like Standard Thai. However, the split and merge pattern of the tone box in Kanchanaburi Thai differs from both Standard Thai and the other Central Thai accents. This study also shows that the phonetics characterestics of the tones could differentiate the four varieties of Kanchanaburi Thai. In addition, the shape and the pitch level of the tones differ when occurring in different contexts. They are most distinct in the tone-set wordlist. Their distinction decreases in connected speech. Moreover, the tones in stressed syllables are more distinct than those in unstressed syllables. |
