| dc.description.abstract | วิทยานิพนธ์เล่มนี้นำเสนอเรื่องกลวิธีการแปลสำหรับแปลชื่อเฉพาะในวรรณกรรมเยาวชนแนวแฟนตาซีเรื่องแฮร์รี่ พอตเตอร์กับเครื่องรางยมทูต ฉบับภาษาสเปนและฉบับภาษาไทย โดยมุ่งเน้นที่จะวิเคราะห์ความแตกต่างการใช้กลวิธีการแปลระหว่างฉบับแปลทั้งสองภาษา โดยเปรียบเทียบกับภาษาต้นฉบับ รวมถึงการสำรวจความพึงพอใจของกลุ่มผู้อ่านชาวไทยต่อกลวิธีการแปลชื่อเฉพาะในวรรณกรรมดังกล่าว เพื่อรวบรวมและเสนอกลวิธีการแปลชื่อเฉพาะสำหรับใช้เป็นแนวทางในการแปลวรรณกรรมเยาวชนแนวแฟนตาซี จากการวิเคราะห์ชื่อเฉพาะ พบว่า ผู้แปลฉบับภาษาสเปนและฉบับภาษาไทยนิยมใช้กลวิธีถ่ายความหมายมากที่สุดสำหรับแปลชื่อเฉพาะ เพราะเป็นกลวิธีการแปลที่ช่วยถ่ายทอดสารจากผู้ประพันธ์สู่ผู้อ่านได้อย่างครบถ้วน กลวิธีการแปลที่ใช้ในฉบับภาษสเปนซึ่งได้รับความนิยมรองลงมา คือ กลวิธีคงคำเดิม เนื่องจากภาษาสเปนใช้อักขระโรมันเดียวกับภาษาอังกฤษ ส่งผลให้การนำคำในภาษาต้นฉบับมาใช้ในฉบับภาษาสเปนเป็นเรื่องง่ายและไม่ทำให้ความหมายผิดเพี้ยนไป ส่วนภาษาไทยมีอักขระต่างจากภาษาอังกฤษ ผู้แปลฉบับภาษาไทยจึงเลือกใช้กลวิธีถ่ายเสียงทดแทน นอกจากนั้น ผลการสำรวจความพึงพอใจคำแปลที่ได้จากกลวิธีการแปลชื่อเฉพาะในฉบับภาษาไทย แสดงให้เห็นว่า กลุ่มผู้อ่านชาวไทยนิยมคำแปลที่ใช้กลวิธีถ่ายความหมายมากกว่าคำแปลที่ใช้กลวิธีถ่ายเสียง เพราะกลวิธีถ่ายความหมายทำให้ผู้อ่านเข้าใจความหมายของคำได้อย่างชัดเจน อีกทั้งทำให้การอ่านวรรณกรรมเป็นไปอย่างลื่นไหล แต่มีแนวโน้มในอนาคตว่า อาจมีการตีพิมพ์คำแปลบางคำผู้วิจัยเสนอให้ใช้กลวิธีถ่ายเสียง เพราะคำแปลดังกล่าวรักษาความหมายของคำและกลิ่นอายในการอ่านเช่นกัน รวมถึงการใช้คำทับศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษแสดงถึงความทันสมัยสำหรับวรรณกรรมแปล | en_US |
| dc.description.abstractalternative | This thesis discusses translation strategies for Spanish and Thai translations of proper names in children’s fantasy literature, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and aims to analyse the differences of the translation strategies comparing Spanish and Thai to original version, and to survey a selected group of Thai readers for their preferences of translation strategies in order to compile the strategies as a guideline for translations of proper names in children’s fantasy literature. Regarding the proper names analysis, Rendition was the most popular translation strategy in Spanish and Thai versions because it helped the translators convey Author’s messages to their readers thoroughly. Apart from Rendition, there were other translation strategies such as Copy which was a secondary translation strategy in Spanish. The translator chose Copy as Spanish and English shared their roman alphabets. Therefore, replicating the proper names in English to Spanish version perfectly preserved the meaning of the proper names. On the contrary, Thai had different alphabets so the translator substituted Copy with Transcription. In addition, the result of the survey showed that a selected group of Thai readers had preferred the translations by more Rendition than Transcription because Rendition facilitated the readers to understand the meaning of the proper names clearly and enjoy progressing to the literature smoothly. However, there would be a possibility to publish some proposed translations in Transcription by researcher for the reason that they also preserved the meaning and good taste in literature. Moreover, Transcription represented a modernity of foreign literature in translation. | en_US |
