Abstract:	การศึกษาความเป็นไปได้เบื้องต้นของการขุดคอคอดกระ ในเชิงพาณิชย์ศึกษาจากข้อมูลของทางราชการและภาคเอกชน รวมตลอดถึงการสำรวจความคิดเห็นของผู้ที่ประกอบการขนส่งทางทะเลโดยการออกแบบสอบถามและสัมภาษณ์ ศึกษาการคาดคะเนปริมาณเรือที่จะใช้คลองและการวิเคราะห์ผลตอบแทนทางการเงินของโครงการ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าปริมาณเรือที่คาดว่าจะใช้คลองมีปริมาณ30-40 ลำต่อวัน ส่วนผู้ประกอบการขนส่งทางทะเลมีทั้งเห็นด้วยและไม่เห็นด้วยไม่แตกต่างกันมากนัก และผลตอบแทนจากการลงทุนโดยการคิดเป็นมูลค่าปัจจุบันที่คำนวณจากรายได้ค่าผ่านคลองกับเงินลงทุนในการขุดคลองพบว่าผลตอบแทนเมื่อคิดตามคาบเวลา 30 40 50 และ 60 พบว่ามีผลตอบแทนทางการเงินค่อนข้างต่ำ ไม่คุ้มค่ากับค่าเสียโอกาสทางการเงิน
Other Abstract:	The feasibility study of the canal on the commercial aspect is a documentary research together with attitude survey through questionnaire and interview. Focuses are on the ship’s volume via the canal and the financial return of the project. The findings are that the ships’ volume expects to pass through the canal is about 30 to 40 vessel per day. For those who agree and disagree with this project is not much difference. The return on investment of the carnal, base on canal fee and investment cost in term of present value for the period of 30, 40, 50 and 60 years, is rather low.
