| Other Abstract: | The article provides basic concept of the Decision Support Systems (DSS) which has developed from the concept of Management Information Systems (MIS). It focuses on the application of DSS in managerial decision making, particularly in library setting. The components of DSS, namely, database, model base and computer program are portrayed. The development and future trend of DSS are also considered. |
