dc.description.abstractalternative	This article describes how, step by step, the Academic Resource Center (ARC) proceeds in its working towards a computerized system for library work. Starting with the project of computerizing the Union List of Serials in Thailand in 1981, the ARC expanded its computerization scheme by delegating personnel and staffs to be trained locally and abroad. Subsequently, several databases utilizing the mini-micro CDS/ISIS software package were created by the ARC. The author wishes that the University Faculties should all use the same system software so that the information and databases can be linked and the university computer network can be created eventually.	en
