| Other Abstract: | It is 72 years up to now since King Vajiravudh inaugurated Chulaongkorn University on March 26, 1916. Throughout this long period the University had recorded periodically achievement and enhancement on education and academic research works as apparent in the following six publications published on the occasion of the university inauguration, namely : History of Chulalongkorn University 1916-1966 ; History of Chulalongkorn University 1967-1976 ; History of Chulalongkorn University, Phetchabun Period 1944 ; 70 Years Chulalongkorn University : Origin of Chulalongkorn University ; 70 Years Chulalongkorn University : Chulalongkorn University Within 10 Years 1977-1986 ; 70 Years Chulalongkorn University : Recalling the Past. This article intends to introduce these six publications as being the vital source of information—not only as the written record of the history of Chulalongkorn University but also the written record of the history of the Thai higher educational development. |
