Other Abstract:	The Faculty of Medicine Library, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University has used a barcode system for circulation control system since March 1987. The electronic library circulation system is composed of data entry, data processing using Foxbase Plus program and IBM microcomputer with hard disk, a printer, and a barcoder reader of key board emulator type. The system is used in book borrowing and returning services, book reservations, keeping member records and daily statistical data, preparing monthly and annual reports of services, as well as issuing claims for overdue books. Finally, the concept behind the electronic library circulation system development, the system capacity and the limitations of the system are discussed.
