Other Abstract:	The article describes the Royal biography of King Rama VI in brief. His Majesty’s roles in the development of intellectuality of the Thai society are illustrated in three aspects, describing his effort in making Siam equal to civilized countries. In Education, H.M. established a commerce school, a craftsman school. Benjamarajalai Women Teachers Training School and Chulalongkorn University as well as issued the Private School Act, the National Elementary Educational Act. In terms of government, H.M.set policies in preparation for democracy, set up the model city of “Dusit Thani” and “Sua Paa” pseudomilitary organization and promoted nationalism. As for literature, H.M. promoted freedom of the pass and contributed numerous works of literature to the development of Thai society. The academic resource Center building of Chulalongkorn University was named “Mahathirarajanusorn” to do honor to H.M. King Rama VI.
