Other Abstract:	The Book in Foreign Languages Database Project was started in January 1987 by the English Catalog Section, with the CUCL selecting the books received in 1986. This Database named “Current”, user the record structure, referring to UNIV MARC of Ministry of University Affairs and Mini-micro CDS/ISIS of UNESCO. Later there was retrospective conversion of CUCL books in an integrated system for both technical works and services, including automated information reference service and circulation service. The project was carried out in three phases : planning; preparation and testing; implementation; and evaluation. The database structure and program was described. Problems were discussed and recommendations were given.
