| Abstract: | รายงานการวิจัย เรื่องความต้องการในการใช้ฐานข้อมูล DAO และSSCI : ฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม สาขาสังคมศาสตร์ ในห้องสมุดคณะรัฐศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการในการใช้ฐานข้อมูล วิธีการค้น การเลือกใช้ และความพึงพอใจในการใช้ฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม โดยศึกษาความต้องการในการใช้ฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม DAO (Dissertation Abstract Ondisc : Humanities and Social Science) และฐานข้อมูล SSCI (Social Science Citation Index/Abstract) ของนิสิต และอาจารย์ คณะรัฐศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการจัดหาฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม ทั้งสองฐานดังกล่าวมาให้บริการในห้องสมุด วิธีการวิจัยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากกลุ่มนิสิต และอาจารย์คณะรัฐศาสตร์จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย จำนวนทั้งสิ้น 509 คน โดยเก็บข้อมูลระหว่างวันที่ 1-10 มีนาคม 2537 และใช้สถิติค่าร้อยละ ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยใช้โปรแกรมสำเร็จรูปLOTUS ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ว่า 1) ผู้ใช้ห้องสมุดคณะรัฐศาสตร์ ส่วนใหญ่ไม่เคยใช้ฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม สำหรับผู้ที่เคยใช้นั้น เคยใช้ที่สถาบันวิทยบริการ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย เคยใช้ที่ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยอื่น เคยใช้ห้องสมุดสถาบันประชากรศาสตร์ กับห้องสมุดคณะครุศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และเคยใช้ที่สถาบันวิทยบริการ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย กับที่ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยอื่นๆ ตามลำดับ 2) ผู้ใช้ส่วนใหญ่มีความต้องการใช้ฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม 3) ผู้ใช้ส่วนใหญ่เห็นว่าการใช้ฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอมมีประโยชน์ 4) ฐานข้อมูลที่ผู้ใช้ต้องการ และคิดว่าเป็นประโยชน์ในการศึกษาค้นคว้า คือทั้งฐานข้อมูล DAO (Dissertation Abstract Ondisc : Humanities and Social Sciences) และฐานข้อมูล SSCI (Social Sciences Citation Index/Abstract) 5) ผู้ใช้ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการค้นข้อมูลด้วยตนเองโดยให้บรรณารักษ์เป็นผู้สอนวิธีการใช้ให้ก่อน และบางส่วนต้องการให้บรรณารักษ์ค้นให้บ้าง ต้องการใช้ทั้งสองวิธีคือค้นด้วยตนเอง และให้บรรณารักษ์ค้นให้บ้าง และส่วนส่วนน้อยที่สุดต้องการให้นิสิตช่วยสอนค้นให้ สำหรับรายละเอียดที่ผู้ใช้ต้องการจากฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอมนั้น ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการทั้งรายการบรรณานุกรมและบทคัดย่อ มีเพียงส่วนน้อยที่ต้องการเฉพาะรายการบรรณานุกรม 6) หากทางห้องสมุดมีความจะเป็นต้องคิดค่าบริการ ผู้ใช้ส่วนใหญ่ยังมีความต้องการจะใช้ฐานข้อมูล 7) อัตราค่าบริการที่ผู้ใช้คิดว่าเหมาะสมในการใช้บริการนั้น ส่วนใหญ่คิดว่าค่าค้นข้อมูลควรเป็นหัวเรื่องละ 10 บาท และค่ากระดาษพิมพ์แผ่นละ 1 บาท และผู้ใช้ที่เหลือคิดว่า ค่าค้นข้อมูลควรเป็นหัวเรื่องละ 5 บาท และค่ากระดาษพิมพ์แผ่นละ 1 บาท และจำนวนน้อยที่สุดคิดว่า ค่าค้นข้อมูลควรเป็นหัวเรื่องละ 5 บาทและค่ากระดาษพิมพ์แผ่นละ 1 บาท และจำนวนน้อยที่สุดคิดว่า ค่าค้นข้อมูลควรเป็นหัวเรื่องละ 20 บาท และค่ากระดาษพิมพ์แผ่นละ 1 บาท ตามลำดับ 8) เวลาที่ห้องสมุดควรเปิดให้บริการฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม ผู้ใช้ส่วนใหญ่ต้องการให้ห้องสมุดบริการฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม ตลอดเวลาที่ห้องสมุดเปิดบริการส่วนน้อยต้องการให้ห้องสมุดบริการฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม ระหว่างจันทร์-ศุกร์ เวลา 8.00-16.00น และที่เหลือต้องการให้ห้องสมุดบริการฐานข้อมูลซีดี-รอม ตลอด 24 ชั่วโมง ตามลำดับ |
| Other Abstract: | The research on “Need of DAO and SSCI database: CD-ROM Databases in Social Science in Faculty of Political Science Library, Chulalongkorn University” is the study of needs, accessions and usage of the DAO (Dissertation Abstract Ondisc : Humanities and Social Sciences) and SSCI databases (Social Sciences Citation Index/Abstract.) The objective of this research is to establish the guidelines in providing CD-ROM database i.e. DAO and SSCI in the library by conducting a study the demand for the use of database, preference and satisfaction in the use of CD-ROM database among lecturers and students of Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University. This research was based on questionnaires of collect information 509 persons among the lectures and the students of Faculty of Political Sciences, Chulalongkorn University during March 1-10, 1994 using percentage statistics in analyzing the data. The result of the research can be summarized as follows : 1) Majorities of the library users have never used CD-ROM database. For those who have used CD-ROM database they used from the Academic Resources Center Chulalongkorn University, other libraries outside Chulalongkorn University, Institute of Populaton studies Library and Faculty of Education Library Chulalongkorn University and The Academic Resources Center Chulalongkorn University and other libraries outsides outside Chulalongkorn University. 2) Majorities of the library users want to use CD-ROM database. 3) Majorities of the library users have an opinion that CD-ROM database is useful. 4) Majorities of the library users believe that DAO and SSCI database is useful in the studying and research subject. 5) Majorities of the library users want to search by themselves with the assistance from librarian and the details they want are both bibliographies and abstracts from the database. 6) Majorities of the library users still want to use the service even though there is a service charge from the use of database. 7) Majorities of the library users believe that the appropriate service charge should be 10 Baht per topic and 1 Baht per 1 page printed. 8) Majorities of the library users want the CD-ROM database to be in service at the same time of working hour of the library. |
