Abstract:	โดยทั่วไปมักจะถือกันว่า สงครามมหาเอเชียบูรพา หรือสงครามโลกครั้งที่สองภาคเอเชีย เกิดขึ้นอย่างเป็นทางการเมื่อกองทัพญี่ปุ่นเปิดฉากโจมตีฐานทัพเรือเพิร์ลฮาร์เบอร์ของสหรัฐอเมริกา เมื่อวันที่ ๗ ธันวาคม ๑๙๔๑ และญี่ปุ่นมักจะถูกประนามในฐานะคนก่อสงคราม แต่บทความนี้ มุ่งจะอธิบายได้กรณีเพิร์ลฮาร์เบอร์เป็นเพียงผลสรุปของความขัดแย้งระหว่างญี่ปุ่นและสหรัฐอเมริกา เนื่องจากความขัดแย้งของผลประโยชน์และเขตอิทธิพลในเอเซียและแปซิฟิกสงครามมหาเอเซียบูรพาที่เกิดขึ้นจึงมิได้มาจากการจงใจก่อสงครามจากฝ่ายญี่ปุ่นฝ่ายเดียว แต่สหรัฐอเมริกาก็มีส่วนไม่น้อยที่เป็นต้นเหตุของสงคราม
Other Abstract:	The Pacific war of the world War II in Asia began on the 7th December ,1941, when the Japannese aircraft attacked the US Pearl Harbor naval base at Hawaii. Thus, the Japanese was condemned for starting the war. This article aim to explain that the incident was a result of long contest between the United Stated and Japan, since they had conflict of interest in Asia and Pacific, at lease, from the end of world war I. In conclusion, the pacific war came from the intention of the Japanese, as well as the responsibility of the US.
