This study aims to investigate whether self-esteem, narcissism, and extraversion could predict people’s usage of Instagram, a photo-sharing application. 85 participants were asked to complete a questionnaire in which participants were asked to complete their demographic information, Self-Esteem Scale (SES), Narcissistic Personality Inventory-16 (NPI-16), and Ten Item Personality Inventory (TIPI). The data was processed and analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlations, and multiple regression via SPSS software. The hypotheses investigated are as follows: 1) Self-esteem will be positively correlated with usage of Instagram; 2) Narcissism will be positively correlated with usage of Instagram; 3) Extraversion will be positively correlated with usage of Instagram; 4) the combination of self esteem, narcissism, and extraversion could possibly predict Instagram usage. As a result, there were positive correlation for the 2nd and 3rd hypotheses but no correlation for the 1st and 4th hypotheses. Despite this, additional results yielded interesting and speculative results for Instagram usage predictors.en_US
