Other Abstract:	This research is intended to examine the causes of why some users of the Central Library, Chulalongkorn University are failed to locate the periodicals needed. The graduate and undergraduate students of the said University who came in to request the services of the periodicals section during August 1—September 7, 1985 at 11-12 a.m. and 2-3 p.m. are requested to fill in the questionnaires for data collection. The data gathered are analyzed in terms of the users’ access to the needed periodicals, the methods of consulting and not consulting periodical locator handbooks, numbers of the users’ success and failure in locating the periodicals, as well as causes, of their failure. Research outcome, summary, and recommendations are provided.
