| Abstract: | บทความวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาเปรียบเทียบเรื่องราวที่แสดงความสัมพันธ์ในฐานะคู่ขัดแย้งระหว่างพระลักษมณ์และราวณะในปอุมจริยะของวิมลสูริและรามายณะของวาลมีกิ และวิเคราะห์ลักษณะการดัดแปลงนิทานพระรามในบริบทศาสนาเชนที่ปรากฏผ่านเรื่องราวความสัมพันธ์ของตัวละครทั้งสอง ผลการศึกษาพบว่าเรื่องราวที่แสดงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างพระลักษมณ์และราวณะในรามายณะฉบับวาลมีกิแทบจะมิได้ปรากฏ เนื่องด้วยรามายณะฉบับวาลมีกินั้นเน้นเสนอภาพความขัดแย้งระหว่างพระรามกับราวณะ ในขณะที่ปอุมจริยะของวิมลสูริมีการแสดงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวละครทั้งสองผ่านเรื่องราวความขัดแย้งที่ดำเนินมาตั้งแต่อดีตชาติ ลักษณะความสัมพันธ์ของตัวละครทั้งสอง ได้แก่ (1) การเกิดร่วมกันในทุกภพชาติ (2) การมีชะตาต้องสังหารกัน และ (3) การก้าวผ่านอีกฝ่ายเพื่อเปลี่ยนสถานภาพ ผลการวิเคราะห์ลักษณะการดัดแปลงนิทานพระรามในบริบทศาสนาเชนจากเรื่องราวความสัมพันธ์ของตัวละครทั้งสอง พบว่ามีการดัดแปลงนิทานพระราม 2 ลักษณะ คือ (1) ดัดแปลงโดยรักษาโครงเรื่องนิทานดั้งเดิมไว้ และ (2) สร้างสรรค์เรื่องราวใหม่ การดัดแปลงนิทานพระรามเช่นนี้ได้รับอิทธิพลจากแนวคิดทางศาสนาเรื่องศลากาปุรุษะและเรื่องกรรมกับสังสารวัฏ ทำให้ปอุมจริยะ รามายณะฉบับของศาสนาเชนกลายเป็นวรรณคดีทางศาสนาที่มีการนำเสนอแนวคิดทางศาสนาสอดแทรกอยู่ในเรื่องอย่างลงตัว |
| Other Abstract: | This research article aims to compare the contradictory relationship between Lakṣmaṇa and Rāvaṇa in Vimalasūri’s version of Paümacariya and Valmīki’s version of Rāmāyaṇa. Also, this article analyzes the adaptation of the Story of Rāma in Jainism context through the concept of relationship between these two characters; Lakṣmaṇa and Rāvaṇa. It was found that the relationship of Lakṣmaṇa and Rāvaṇa in Valmīki’s version of Rāmāyaṇa rarely existed because this version focuses on the contradiction between Rāma and Rāvaṇa whereas Valmīki’s version of Paümacariya presents the relationship of Lakṣmaṇa and Rāvaṇa by mentioning their past-life’s conflicts. There are three types of relationship between Lakṣmaṇa and Rāvaṇa namely; 1) sharing the same lifetime, 2) being the killer of each other and, 3) transcending each other for status shifting. Regarding the analysis of adaptation of the Story of Rāma in Jainism context through the concept of relationship between Lakṣmaṇa and Rāvaṇa, the study presents two patterns of adaptation namely; 1) reserving the original plot, and 2) creating an alternative narration. Through an adaptation of the story of Rāma, it was influenced by the religious thoughts on Śalākāpuruṣa, Karma (action) and Saṃsāra (Cycle of life). By doing so, Paümacariya, the Jainism version of Rāmāyaṇa becomes religious literature presenting the seamless religious thoughts in the story. |
