Abstract: | Tourism has become a main income factor of national revenue in Thailand. Tourism infrastructure is the important foundation for Thailand to improve its attractiveness around the world. This study firstly employed a SWOT analysis to show the current insight of tourism infrastructure in Thailand. The key findings of this study showed that transport infrastructure, ICT infrastructure and medical infrastructure have positive impacts on international tourism inflows in Thailand during 2008 to 2019 by employing an extending gravity model. Thus, the tourism planners should generate ICT promote, transport development and medical tourism into policies planning. Tourism policy makers in Thailand should focus on long-term planning and take infrastructure development loans from international institutions. At the same time, Thai government should encourage private sector to join the national projects to fasten the construction. |
