dc.description.abstractเพื่อให้สอดคล้องกันนโยบายของจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ในด้านการบริการทางวิชาการแก่สังคม สถาบันภาษา จึงได้ทำการวิจัยเชิงสำรวจขึ้นเพื่อสำรวจเกี่ยวกับความคิดของผู้ที่อยู่ในวงการระดับต่าง ๆ ทั้งหน่วยราชการและเอกชน ถึงความต้องการทางวิชาการด้านการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาต่างประเทศ การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อสำรวจความต้องการให้มีการจัดตั้งหน่วยงานประสานงานระดับชาติ เพื่อศึกษาปัญหาและความต้องการทางวิชาการด้านการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาต่างประเทศ และเพื่อกำหนดแนวทางของการจัดตั้งหน่วยงานประสานงานซึ่งจะรับผิดชอบทางด้านการวิจัย หรือการบริการด้านการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาต่างประเทศ ผลของการวิจัยได้จากการวิเคราะห์แบบสอบถามที่สร้างขึ้น เพื่อสำรวจเกี่ยวกับความต้องการดังกล่าว แบบสอบถามนี้มีสองชุด ชุดหนึ่งสำหรับสอบถามผู้บริหารในหน่วยราชการ รัฐวิสาหกิจ และบริษัทเอกชน อีกชุดหนึ่งสำหรับสอบถามผู้ที่อยู่ในวงการศึกษาในมหาวิทยาลัย โรงเรียนรัฐบาล และโรงเรียนเอกชน ผลการสำรวจพบว่า ความต้องการที่จะให้สถาบันภาษาเป็นหน่วยงานที่ให้บริการการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษเป็นภาษาต่างประเทศแก่บุคคลที่อยู่ในและนอกวงการศึกษานั้นสูงมากen
dc.description.abstractalternativeThis research is designed to find out the roles that the Language Institute canplay in coping with the policy of Chulalongkorn University in giving academic services to society. It then attempts to survey the needs for English language training of personnel of government agencies and private enterprises and also English teachers. The findings will be essential in the preparationn of CULI's English intensive courses and suitable instructional materials for English courses at all levels. The main result of the research is that the needs for such courses are very high.en
